Description:
At 1258 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles west of La Garita, or 39 miles northwest of Alamosa, moving
east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central Rio
Grande and south central Saguache Counties.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Saguache County East of Continental Divide below 10000 Ft; La Garita Mountains Above 10000 Ft; Del Norte Vicinity/Northern San Luis Valley Below 8500 Ft
