Description: 
At 949 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Basalt, or 18 miles southeast of Glenwood Springs, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Eagle, Gypsum, Basalt, and El Jebel. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 142 and 146. Colorado 82 between mile markers 24 and 25.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
