Description:
At 810 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles northwest of Parachute, or 45 miles northeast of Grand
Junction, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Rio Blanco.
This includes Colorado 13 between mile markers 9 and 21.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
