Description: 
At 225 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles southeast of Kim, or 38 miles southwest of Springfield, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Baca and southeastern Las Animas Counties.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
