Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Elbert County in east central Colorado...
Southeastern Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado...
Douglas County in northeastern Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 245 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Middle Garber Creek, Rainbow Creek, Jackson Creek, Garber Creek,
Cook Creek, East Cherry Creek, West Creek, Indian Creek, Deep
Creek, Spring Creek, Camp Creek, Gove Creek, Murphy Creek, Newlin
Gulch, East Plum Creek, Sugar Creek, Trout Creek, Horse Creek,
Cherry Creek, Bear Creek, Carpenter Creek, Big Dry Creek, Piney
Creek, Running Creek, North Garber Creek, Pine Creek, Coal Creek,
Kinney Creek, West Toll Gate Creek, Willow Creek, Plum Creek,
Antelope Creek, Bayou Gulch, First Creek, Watson Park Creek, Dry
Gulch, Happy Canyon Creek, Lake Gulch, South Platte River and
East Toll Gate Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1
inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result
in minor flooding.

Southern Aurora, eastern Centennial, Castle Rock, Parker, Lone
Tree, Larkspur, Castle Pines, Franktown, Sedalia, The Pinery,
Perry Park, Ponderosa Park, Devil's Head, Arapahoe Park,
Foxfield, Castlewood Canyon and Shamballa.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
