* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following county, La Plata. * WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding and overflowing in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Avoid traveling and recreating through the advisory area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 252 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Low water crossings in mountainous terrain can become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
