Description:
At 333 PM MDT/433 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of
strong thunderstorms 4 miles northeast of Bonny Reservoir. These
storms were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Yuma
County in northeastern Colorado, northeastern Kit Carson County in
east central Colorado, western Cheyenne and northwestern Sherman
Counties in northwestern Kansas, including the following locations...
Hale, Idalia, and Beecher Island.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 445 and 447.
Highway 385 between mile markers 201 and 229.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
