West Central Phillips County in northeastern Colorado... * Until 715 PM MDT. * At 637 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located 5 miles northeast of St Petersburg, or 22 miles east of Sterling, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Damaging tornado and two inch hail. SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Haxtun, St Petersburg and Dailey.

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
