Description: 
The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Red Flag Warning for thunderstorms and strong outflow winds, which is in effect from 5 AM to 7 PM PDT Friday. * Affected Area...Fire Zone 121 W. Shasta County Above 3000 ft, Fire Zone 122 W. Shasta County 1000-3000 ft, Fire Zone 123 Shasta Lake Area & 1-5 1000-3000 ft, Fire Zone 124 Shasta Metro, Fire Zone 125 Shasta County Foothills 1000-3000 ft, Fire Zone 126 E. Shasta /S. Cascades Above 3000 ft and Fire Zone 127 Burney Basin. * Thunderstorms...Wet and dry thunderstorms with abundant lightning. * Outflow Winds...Gusts up to 40 mph. * Impacts...Lightning from isolated dry thunderstorms or outside of the main precipitation core in wet thunderstorms can create new fire starts and may combine with strong outflow winds to cause a fire to rapidly grow. Confidence is low on exact coverage and wet vs dry, but latest forecast has increased thunderstorm potential overall.
