Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Dalton Highway, Sag, Colville, Kuparuk Rivers and their
tributaries.
* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Access to roads, airstrips, and low-lying infrastructure may be
affected. High flows could lead to bank erosion that could
threaten nearby roads. Blocked culverts could lead to road
washouts.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- High water is being seen at several stream gages on the North
Slope after the warm weekend temperatures followed by rain on
residual snow. Rain will be tapering off into Tuesday
evening and water levels in headwater streams are already
