Description:
Daytime high temperatures have reached 70 to 75 degrees throughout this week, and will be warmest on Thursday. Temperatures this warm, and for this long, happen about once per year. The long duration of warmer days may impact subsistence activities like berry picking, fishing, and hunting. This could also affect people who are extremely sensitive to heat (like elders or infants), especially if they are unable to cool down or stay hydrated. Actions: Keep homes cool by closing curtains during the day and opening windows at night. If outdoors, stay hydrated and dress in lighter and looser clothing. Be alert to signs of heat stress in yourself and others.
