Description:
* WHAT...Water levels of 4 to 6 feet above the normal high tide
line expected.
* WHERE...Eastern Norton Sound and Nulato Hills.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM AKDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Localized beach erosion may occur.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There remains a relatively small amount of
uncertainty in forecasted water levels, but confidence has
increased. Water levels are expected to peak during the high
tide Monday morning and then return to normal throughout the
day. The Tuesday high tide is expected to only be around 1 to 3
feet above normal. The highest water levels are expected near
Koyuk and Elim with Stebbins/St. Michael and Unalakleet near the
lower end of this range.
