Description:
At 325 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Powell, or near
Rainsville, moving west at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Emergency management.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Scottsboro, Fort Payne, Rainsville, Sylvania, Fyffe, Hollywood,
Powell, Section, Dutton, and Pine Ridge.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. This storm has had a history of producing large hail in
Rainsville, Section, and Dutton.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
