Description:
At 215 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sand Rock, or 8 miles southwest of Little River Canyon National
Preserve. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Payne, Lebanon, Collbran, Dog Town, Adamsburg, Little River
Canyon NP, and Desoto State Park.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
