Description:
At 724 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Fayetteville, or near Talladega Springs, moving south at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Alabaster, Pelham, Sylacauga, Calera, Clanton, Childersburg,
Columbiana, Jemison, Wilsonville, Rockford, Talladega Springs,
Stewartville, Weogufka, Thorsby, Oak Grove, Bon Air, Dollar, Gap Of
The Mountain, Bentleyville, and Strickland Crossroads.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
