Description:
At 1108 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line
extending from Hoover Metropolitan Stadium to Inverness to near
Chelsea. Movement was north at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Pelham,
Mountain Brook, Trussville, Helena, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds,
Moody, Fairfield, Chelsea, Fultondale, Springville, Odenville,
Wilsonville, and Center Point.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
