Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
county, Winston.
* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 232 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Arley, Double Springs, Addison, Corinth Rec Area, Moreland,
Houston Recreational Area, Winston Free State Barn, Falls
City, Smith Lake, Inmanfield, Helicon, Ashridge, Nesmith,
Houston, Bull Branch, Mill Creek, Cane Creek, Winston County
Airport, Hullett Branch and Rockhouse Creek.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
