Description:
At 116 PM EDT/1216 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 9 miles west of Donalsonville, moving southeast at 20
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Donalsonville, Gordon, Iron City, Brinson, Jakin, Saffold, Babcock,
Crosby, Little Hope, Mayhaw, Boykin, Riverturn, Sharphagen,
Hornsville, Donaldsonville A/P, Steam Mill, Desser, Seminole State
Park, Howards Mill, and Davis Park.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
