Description:
At 341 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest of
Bernardo, or 13 miles southwest of Belen, moving east at 20 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR SABINAL AND ABEYTAS.
HAZARD...Three inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect
shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and
vehicles.
Locations impacted include...
Belen, Bernardo, Jarales, Casa Colorada, Los Trujillos-Gabaldon,
Rio Communities, Sabinal and Abeytas.
This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 171 and 192.
Instruction:
Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure. This storm is capable of producing destructive
hail and widespread damaging winds.
