Description:
At 858 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from over Keshena to over Whiting, or
extending from 6 miles north of Shawano to over Stevens Point, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
The strong thunderstorm will be near...
Stevens Point, Keshena and Whiting around 900 AM CDT. Legend Lake
around 905 AM CDT. Amherst around 920 AM CDT. Gillett around 935 AM
CDT. Embarrass, Clintonville, Navarino Wildlife Area and Pound
around 955 AM CDT.
Other locations impacted by this strong thunderstorm include
Northland, Caroline, Red River, College Of Menominee Nation,
Leopolis, Park Ridge, Polonia, Plover, Jordan and Split Rock.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
