* WHAT...Northeast winds 25 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Lower Matanuska Valley. * WHEN...From 4 AM Saturday to midnight AKDT Saturday Night. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northeast winds are expected to increase by early Saturday morning. Wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are likely, though isolated gusts higher than 60 mph will be possible. The strongest winds are expected near and to the north of Palmer. For areas west of Wasilla, winds will be gusty but lighter. Winds are expected to decrease early Sunday morning. Looking ahead, winds may return the Matanuska Valley Tuesday into Wednesday. Plan ahead and continue to monitor the forecast for updates.
