Description:
At 518 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Buckhannon, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Buckhannon, Philippi, Audra State Park, Belington, Junior, Volga,
Lorentz, Century, Kerens, Ellamore, Tallmansville, Overhill,
Hodgesville, Horner, French Creek, and Nestorville.
This includes Route 33 between mile markers 1 and 35.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
northern and northeastern West Virginia.
