At 129 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hamlin, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Charleston, Jefferson, South Charleston, Dunbar, Marmet, Belle, Alum Creek, Tornado, Julian, Coal Fork, Seth, Sweetland, Sod, Woodville, Ashford, Palermo, Griffithsville, Alkol, Yawkey, and Racine. This includes the following highways... Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 103. Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 53 and 57. West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 89 and 95. Route 119 between mile markers 56 and 80.
