Description: 
At 725 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles south of West Union, or 12 miles east of Harrisville, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Salem, West Union, New Milton, Smithburg, Avon, and Blandville. This includes Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 46 and 70.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for northern West Virginia.
