Description:
At 636 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Pinch, or near Charleston, moving northeast at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Charleston, Sissonville, Chesapeake, Marmet, Belle, Clendenin, Pinch,
Coal Fork, and Elkview.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 19.
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 115.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia near mile marker 57.
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 87 and 95.
Route 119 near mile marker 80.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
reduced visibility.
