* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 820 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen today. Flooding impacts will continue. Another
line of showers and thunderstorms could bring another half inch
to an inch rainfall tonight. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly. There were several reports of
flooding, particularly in Barbour County, where there was a water
rescue.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Buckhannon, Weston, Philippi, Glenville, Elizabeth, Grantsville,
Audra State Park, Belington, Stonewall Jackson, Jackson Mill,
Cedar Creek State Park, Junior, Burnsville, Lost Creek, Jane Lew,
Sand Fork, Auburn, Camden, Alum Bridge and Sand Run.
- This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 80 and 114. Route 33 between
mile markers 1 and 7...and between mile markers 15 and 17.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
