At 247 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Boydton, or 12 miles south of Chase City, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Mecklenburg and southwestern Brunswick Counties, including the following locations... Rogers Corner, Richardson, Beechwood, Bracey, Keats, John H Kerr Dam, Eppes Fork, Baskerville, Palmer Springs, and John H Kerr Reservoir.
