At 955 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Ballentine, or near Irmo, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Columbia and Irmo around 1000 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include White Rock, Lighthouse Marina, Lake Murray Marina, and Upper Richland Fire Station. This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 92 and 101.
