West central Lee County in northeastern Mississippi... * Until 530 PM CDT. * At 442 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Randolph, or 12 miles west of Pontotoc, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... Tupelo, Pontotoc, Trace State Park, Ecru, Randolph, Troy, Furrs, Sherman, Thaxton, Algoma, Toccopola, Hortontown, Esperanza, Endville, Cherry Creek, Chiwapa, Pannell, Delay, Rough Edge, and Nixon. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 78 and 82.
