At 1042 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles west of Shallowater, or 15 miles northwest of Lubbock, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lubbock, Wolfforth, Shallowater, Idalou, Anton, Lubbock South Plains Mall, Lubbock International Airport, Texas Tech University, Downtown Lubbock, Woodrow, Reese Center, New Deal, Smyer, and Lubbock Science Spectrum.
