Description:
At 1246 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 5 miles southeast of Trawick to 14 miles
south of Huntington, or extending from 7 miles north of Nacogdoches
to 15 miles southeast of Diboll, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Huntington, Garrison, Woden, Etoile, Melrose,
Trawick, Zavalla, Appleby, Redland, Homer, Shawnee and Dolan.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
