* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Austin, Bolivar Peninsula, Chambers, Colorado, Inland Harris, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Southern Liberty and Waller. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Areas along the coast, especially Matagorda and Brazoria Counties,received 6-8" of rainfall over the past three days. These areas in particular are vulnerable to additional rounds of rainfall over the next 24-48 hours, which brings the potential for flash flooding. Rainfall rates are expected to peak in the 3-4+" per hour range in the heaviest downpours. Additional rainfall totals through late Monday are anticipated to be in the 2 to 5 inches range along the coastal counties and 1 to 3 inches elsewhere.
