Description: 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Fisher, Jones, Nolan and Taylor. * WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 232 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms along and southwest of a Roby to Sweetwater to Winters line. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. These storm spread into Abilene and Anson around 330 PM. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Abilene, Sweetwater, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin, Roscoe, Blackwell, Nolan, Merkel, Rotan, Tye, Tuscola, Roby, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Lueders, Trent, Lawn, Noodle and Sylvester. - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 229 and 292. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, Butternut Underpass, Intersections along Sammons Street, SH 70 crossing The Draw Southeast of Rotan, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, US 180 crossing 7 miles west of Roby, Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek, FM 611 crossing 7 miles west of Rotan and IH 20 frontage roads crossing Plum Creek. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
