Description: 
At 515 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain across the northeast part of Bexar County including the San Antonio International Airport and points to the northeast of there. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen over the northeast of Bexar County for the past three hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible within the hour. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak, Selma, Randolph AFB, San Antonio Int Airport, Kirby, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills, Bulverde, Garden Ridge, Shavano Park, Hollywood Park, McQueeney and Olmos Park.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
