...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE, THE SOUTH PLAINS, AND MUCH OF THE ROLLING PLAINS... * Timing...For the Red Flag Warning, until 8 PM Thursday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Friday afternoon through Friday evening. * Wind...On Thursday, southwest at 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. On Friday, southwest at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * Humidity...Ranging from 5 to 10 percent on Thursday, and ranging from 7 to 13 percent on Friday. * Fuels...Critically dry. * Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is discouraged.
