* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following counties, Cocke, Jefferson and Sevier. * WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 944 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sevierville, Newport, Dandridge, Pigeon Forge, Pittman Center, Chestnut Hill, Bird Crossing, Cosby, Fairgarden, Hartford, Harrisburg, Piedmont, Round Mountain and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
