Special Weather Statement

Expected
Effective:
April 8, 2026 - 3:08am
Expires:
April 8, 2026 - 7:00am
Description:
A light wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will gradually change over to rain, then end this morning. A thin coating of snow or sleet is expected before the mix changes to rain. A light glaze of ice will also be possible in parts of central, north central and far northeast Wisconsin, generally northwest of the Fox Valley. As road temperatures remain warm, it is likely that icing will be confined to elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses. Morning commuters should be prepared for a few slippery spots, but conditions will quickly improve by mid-morning as temperatures warm well above freezing.
