Description: 
At 959 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from over Elysian Fields to 5 miles southeast of Rusk, or extending from 14 miles southeast of Marshall to 5 miles southeast of Rusk, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Henderson, Carthage, Tenaha, Timpson, Garrison, Minden, Pinehill, Trawick, Sacul, New Salem, Cushing, Appleby, Mount Enterprise, Reklaw, Gary City, Lawsonville, Dotson, Chapman and Laneville.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
