Description:
At 243 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from over Woden to 18 miles southeast of
Huntington, or extending from 13 miles southeast of Nacogdoches to 22
miles southeast of Diboll, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Huntington, San Augustine, Pineland, Etoile, Macune, Woden,
Melrose, Bland Lake, Rosevine, Neuville, Zavalla, Chireno,
Broaddus, Denning, Chinaquapin, Shawnee, Bronson, Dolan and
Calgary.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
