Description:
At 702 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles southeast of Huntington, or 15 miles southeast of Lufkin,
moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Huntington, Etoile, Zavalla, Chireno, Broaddus, Shawnee and Homer.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
