Description:
At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Vanceboro to Cypress Creek. Movement was
east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville, New Bern, New River Station, Pumpkin Center, Piney
Green, Half Moon, Camp Lejeune Center, James City, Trent Woods, River
Bend, Richlands, Maysville, Askins, Catherine Lake, Kellum, Cypress
Creek, Midway Park, Comfort, Jasper, and Tuscarora.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
