Description:
At 613 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Maple Hill to near Malpass Corner.
Movement was east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Burgaw, White Stocking, Maple Hill, Wards Corner, Murray Town, Rooks,
Malpass Corner, St. Helena, Watha, and Pender Memorial Hospital.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 392 and 404.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
