With previous rain and temperatures having dropped well below freezing across the North Country overnight, exposed wet surfaces may become or already be icy early this morning. Motorists and pedestrians should remain alert to the increased risk of black ice on untreated ground surfaces. Elevated road surfaces such as bridges and overpasses, highway ramps, as well parking lots and other walkways will be more susceptible to black ice formation. Warming temperatures after sunrise will allow for any ice to melt through the morning hours.
