Description:
At 943 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles south of Rich Hill to Nevada to
Sheldon to near Liberal. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Nevada, El Dorado Springs, Liberal, Sheldon, Montevallo, Walker,
Moundville, Milo, Irwin, Harwood, Olympia, and Verdella.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
southwestern and west central Missouri. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch
also remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for southwestern and west
central Missouri.
