Description: 
At 242 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Peru, or 9 miles northeast of Auburn, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Atchison County. This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 120 and 123.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northwestern Missouri.
