At 1112 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Green Ridge, or 9 miles southwest of Sedalia, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Sedalia, Smithton, Green Ridge, Hughesville, and Sedalia Memorial Arpt.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for central Missouri.
