Description:
At 122 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Washburn, or near Cassville, moving northeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Roaring River State Park, Table Rock Lake, Cassville, Crane, Shell
Knob, Purdy, Seligman, Exeter, Wheaton, Butterfield, Galena,
Washburn, Mccord Bend, Golden, Emerald Beach, Eagle Rock,
Chain-O-Lakes, Arrow Point, Pleasant Ridge, and Ridgley.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for southwestern
Missouri.
