Description: 
At 209 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Tishomingo State Park to 6 miles west of Pittsboro. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Tupelo, Amory, Pontotoc, Fulton, Houston, Red Bay, Verona, Okolona, Trace State Park, Tombigbee State Park, Tishomingo State Park, Saltillo, Belmont, Bruce, Calhoun City, Shannon, Vardaman, Plantersville, Mantachie, and Derma. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 79 and 117.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CST for northeastern and northwestern Mississippi.
