Description:
At 431 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from 17 miles south of Coushatta to 30 miles
south of Many, or extending from 16 miles west of Natchitoches to 43
miles south of Natchitoches, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Natchitoches, Colfax, Campti, Montgomery, Allen, Provencal,
Natchez, Clarence, Goldonna, Robeline, Atlanta, Powhatan, Bermuda,
Flora, Cypress, St. Maurice, Melrose, Grand Ecore, Hagewood and
Bellwood.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
