At 754 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Kentwood, or 9 miles north of Amite, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Kentwood, Osyka, and Tangipahoa. This includes Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 53 and 58.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
